Program Philosophy
Woodlawn Baptist Church Child Development Center focuses upon laying a spiritual foundation for all children based on the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are unashamed in proclaiming Jesus Christ as Savior and as the cornerstone of a foundation for life. Believing God has called us as a church body to provide the highest quality care in a faith-based childcare center, we take seriously our responsibility to help “train up a child in the way he should go” Proverbs 22:6.
Children who are a part of the program at Woodlawn will be exposed daily to the teaching of Jesus Christ through the Bible and a Christian curriculum. It is our desire that children who are a part of our program come to know Christ as their personal Savior and learn from an early age to trust Christ for their every need.
We also acknowledge that the time your child will be with us are the most formative years of his/her life. Therefore, it is important that we provide opportunities to help each child develop his/her own individual identity and a positive self-concept. In response to the needs of each child, we, as a staff, will provide activities to promote healthy spiritual, cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. A variety of challenging and interesting activities will be presented to the children daily to help them develop in each of the above areas. Children will be encouraged to develop a sense of independence and will be given opportunities to develop self-discipline, self-reliance and problem solving skills.
