Program Mission Statement
Our mission is that each individual child will grow spiritually, emotionally, and physically, through the love of Jesus to develop a sense of independence and will be given opportunities to develop self-reliance and problem-solving skills.
Program Goals
- To lay the foundation for Christ-centered living for all children & families.
- For the presence of Jesus to be seen in our words, actions, and deeds.
- To maintain a “5” star rating at all times.
- For staff to provide developmentally appropriate activities to aid in children’s growth.
- For staff to continue their education through workshops, training sessions, or furthering college education.
- To offer the opportunity to develop positive relationships with adults and with other children.
- For children to have the opportunity to create, explore the environment, learn problem solving skills, and personal interaction through first-hand experiences.
Fees
All weekly fees are due within the current week of care. Late fees will be added to fees not paid during that week.
Registration Fee
There is a one-time $100 registration fee due at the time of registration.
Meals
Morning Snack served at 8:15 am
Lunch served between 11:00-11:15 am
Afternoon Snack served at 2:15 pm
Parent Involvement
Parent involvement is encouraged. Activities offered are:
- Mother’s Day breakfast
- Father’s Day breakfast
- Center anniversary celebration
- Grandparent’s Day special activity
- Thanksgiving gathering
- Christmas program and party
- Holiday parties
- Graduation and reception
- Scholastic book fair
Five Star Rating
Centers are now being rated with the Star Rating System. Centers can receive one to five stars. Five stars is the highest standard. Woodlawn Baptist Child Development Center has five stars. We are members of the North Carolina Licensing Child Care Association and the Foothills Association of Childcare Educators.
Hours of Operation
Center opens at 6:30 AM and closes at 5:30 PM.
Children are limited to a 9 1/2 hour stay at the center. For example, if your child arrives at 6:30 AM, they must be picked up by 4:00 PM.
